This May, we can keep Cleveland’s three public-owned sports facilities in major league condition by voting YES to extend – not increase – Cuyahoga County’s pennies-per-purchase tax on cigarettes and alcohol to fund needed major capital repairs. These facilities belong to us, and we share with our teams a legal responsibility to take care of them. The teams have paid for 100% of the maintenance and operation of these venues since they opened. Now, it’s time we do our part to protect and extend the benefits of our investment.
Issue 7 extends the small tax on cigarettes and alcohol to protect the benefits from the public’s investment in the public-owned sports facilities in Cuyahoga County.
